Baking a cake has always been an enormous task for most people. But we
know for sure that nothing beats the taste of a cake you have baked
yourself. This isn't much of a hectic task. Just mix a few ingredients
and bake the cake at the right time. Here we're going to explain the
process of baking a chocolate cake in the easiest way possible. Follow
the steps cited below.
Here's the list of ingredients you need before getting into baking
the cake.
• 3/4 cup of cocoa powder
• 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
• 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Get the ingredients first and then you're good to go.
Preheat oven to 177°C:
Having the oven preheated is essential for the cake to be baked well.
Preheat it so that you can start baking your cake. Another thing to do
along this is to grease the cake pan. Any standard cake pan would do the work. Or any shape you prefer would
be good as well. Grease the pan well so that the cake won't stick to
it. This would ruin the beauty of your cake. Greasing it with butter
would be the best option. Adding a thin layer of flour to the pan
after greasing would guarantee the safety of your cake.
Mixing the ingredients:
Now you need to mix a few ingredients to bake your cake. Mix butter, sugar, vanilla extract, buttermilk and eggs in a standard bowl. Mix it using a mixer. Mix the ingredients well so that there are no issues in baking.
Mix the dry ingredients:
As the name says, dry ingredients are to be mixed separately from the before mixed ingredients. Mix cocoa powder, baking powder along with salt and flour thoroughly. Keep on mixing them until they become a single ingredient.
Mix both the mixtures:
Now, we have got two mixtures. We have to mix them both to produce a single mixture to bake our cake. Mix the dry and the wet mixture together in a standard bowl. Keep on mixing until there is no residue left of the flour. It's hard to mix flour so be relatively careful while mixing. When you see no bits of flour left, your batter is done for baking.
Pour batter into the cake pan:
Now that we have beautifully made a batter with no mistakes. We will proceed further to pour our mixture into the cake pan. Any cake pan you can get hands-on would do the work. Start pouring the batter evenly into the pan. Make sure to pour it in an even manner. Use a spoon to get the batter entirely out of the bowl. Spread the batter equally in the cake pan.
Put the batter in the oven and bake for precise half an
hour:
Put your cake pan filled with batter into the preheated oven at 170°C. Set the timer at 30 mins to bake it. Check the cake after thirty minutes by sticking a toothpick into the cake. If it comes out clean with no batter, you have done an extremely great job. If not, then check the preheating of the oven. Make sure to keep an eye on the cake while in the oven. You don't want your cake to be burned while you're busy.
Take out the cake from the oven:
As you have baked your cake successfully. Take it out of the oven carefully and let it cool for 5-10 mins. This would give time for the baked batter to rest. After this, take a plate and get your cake out of the pan. Invert your cake carefully on the plate which fits its size.
Add frosting and enjoy:
Add the frosting of your choice on the cake in any pattern you wish. Cool the cake in the fridge and you're good to eat your hand-baked cake.
Follow these instructions and you'll bake yourself a great cake. Have fun!
